Text Zapper app stops texting and driving

teentextingdriving

Texting while driving is the #1 cause of teen death in the United States. Currently, over half the states have applied anti-texting and driving laws. Despite the increasing efforts prevent our teenagers from texting and driving and raise awareness of the tragedy that can result, we are still getting alarmingly bad statistics. Since every teenager probably thinks it will never happen to them, we know we have to get creative in raising awareness of the issue.

You can get the Text Zapper app for $4.99 a month, preventing texting capabilities, web browsing, or e-mailing anytime the car is in motion. The application allows complete parental control and notifies you whenever your kid may be texting while driving. You have a peace of mind as your teen is still allowed to call emergency services like 911 or you. Also, the application is secured onto the phone, so your teen cannot uninstall the application without you knowing. Passengers are still allowed to e-mail and text if the car is in motion.
Text Zapper is available here. You can also get application for multiple phones for an additional price. At the moment, the app is only available for Androids, Blackberrys, and Nokias.

    Sue,

I would like to make you aware of some of the other features that TextZapper has to offer. In addition to disabling texting while driving, TextZapper features message monitoring. Here’s how it works. If a child sends or receives a dangerous text, for example, cyber-bullying, sexting, drugs, suicide, or weapons, the parents will receive an instant text alert and email as to the nature of the text and the cell number that the text originated from. Also, there is a GPS track feature that will allow parents to track the cell phone 24/7 to locate their child. There is also a “virtual fence”. This allows parents to set up a boundary they do not want their child to go outside of. If this boundary is crossed, the parents will receive a text alert as to the location of the boundary crossing. TextZapper is the only application that offers this comprehensive a program to protect children against all the dangers of texting.
